28 June 2003Bournemouth & West Hampshire Water Set A New Standard For British Water Companies
In December 2002, Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water (BWH), part of the Cascal Group, won a place in the final of the American Waterworks Association (AWWA) Drilling and tapping competition. The final was held in Anaheim, California, USA and ran from 15th - 18th June 2003.
The 2003 AWWA Drilling and Tapping Exhibition and the World Water Cup, which BWH were able to participate in and take 3rd place, was held at the same venue and therefore attracted a large crowd of people.
Bournemouth & West Hampshire Water/Mowlems represented the UK and achieved their best time ever to put them in 10th place overall. This was a substantial achievement as they are now the highest placed UK team in the history of the AWWA competition.
